We invest our partner's time, the firm's capital, and we access additional private equity funds and capital sources in support of specific value investment plans. Our typical single situation equity investment ranges from as low as $1 million up to $20 million, including capital from our partner private capital firms.

We focus on situations where we believe our time, our expertise and our credibility with capital sources will result in closed transactions that meet company and investor expectations.  Our capital sourcing is done on a single transaction basis tailored to the specific needs of the business and investors.  Main Market Partners will invest personally and, importantly, maintains private capital relationships expressly interested in transactions we sponsor.

 Every business, every situation is unique, especially businesses in growth-challenged or distressed condition.  Investors have enormous differences in risk / reward assessment, likes / dislikes, or willingness/patience to support recovery or growth plans.  Recognizing these differences, Main Market Partners is prepared to work with each opportunity to tailor a credible balance sheet plan attractive for capital support.

Main Market Partners will engage as Financial Advisor & Capital Arranger, and is prepared to act as Lead Investor, depending on the situation and client need.  Our job is to set realistic expectations and then function as your advocate with capital providers resulting in win/win transactions.

Main Market Partners seeks growth-challenged, distressed or under-performing business opportunities where we believe our time and talent in partnership with management will attract supportive capital providers.  Target opportunities include businesses having one or more of the following characteristics:

  • EBITDA ranging from negative $5 million to positive performance

  • Sales opportunity from $5 million to $75 million or more

  • Operating in manufacturing, distribution, or service industries

  • Possibly challenged by significant organic growth and / or acquisition growth

  • Potentially not meeting owner’s performance expectations

  • Restricted by lack of liquidity and capital support

  • Small to midsize divisions of large companies deemed non-core / too small
